Popmoney is an easy, fast and secure online personal payment service that lets you send, request and receive money directly from your bank account.

The following are just a few of the convenient ways you can use Popmoney:

You can send money to someone using their email address, mobile phone number or account information:

  • Email address: Your contact will receive an email with instructions on how to direct the payment into his or her account.
  • Mobile number: A text message will be sent to the recipient on your behalf with instructions for how to direct the payment into his or her account. You may want to tell your contact that standard message and data rates may apply.
  • Account information (routing and account number): The money will be deposited directly into your contact's account. You will also have the option to send an email to your contact.

  • The recipient receives payment notification via email or text message
  • In most cases, the money is automatically deposited into the recipient's account
  • You can track recent and pending transactions through your history
  • You can change your email address or mobile phone number in Service Setup
How does Popmoney work?

Sending Money

  • To send money, log in to Online Banking, navigate to the Payments and Transfers tab and select Pay Bills and Popmoney
  • Click the What Else Can I Do? link at the bottom of the page
  • Send money to anyone using their email address, mobile phone number or account information
  • Include a personal message, design or greeting, if desired
  • The recipient will then receive a notification to deposit his or her money
  • You will be notified when the transaction is completed

Delivery Fees

  • Popmoney Standard (3 Business Days) - Free
  • Popmoney Next Day (Next Business Day) - $1 per transaction

Requesting Money

  • To request money, log in to Online Banking, navigate to the Payments and Transfers tab and select Pay Bills and Popmoney
  • Click the What Else Can I Do? link at the bottom of the page
  • Go to the Request Money tab and complete the Request Form
  • The named person or group will then receive a notification to pay your request

Receiving Money

  • You will receive an email or text notification when money is sent to you.
  • To claim your money, log in to Online Banking, navigate to the Payments and Transfers tab and select Pay Bills and Popmoney
  • Click the What Else Can I Do? link at the bottom of the page
  • Direct funds to your account
  • If you do not provide your account information, the payment will be automatically returned to the sender's account
