We will not pay your overdrafts for everyday debit card purchases you make at a store, online or by telephone unless you tell us you want Overdraft Clearing Coverage for these transactions. Even if you do not request Overdraft Clearing Coverage for everyday debit card purchases, we may still pay your overdrafts for other types of transactions, including checks. We do not authorize and pay overdrafts for ATM transactions.
Having Overdraft Clearing Coverage does not guarantee that we will pay your overdrafts. If we do not authorize and pay an overdraft, your transaction will be declined, and you may be charged a return item fee. If we decide to pay an overdraft, you will be charged fees as described below.
Overdraft Clearing Coverage differs from other overdraft services we offer. See below for more information, including how to contact us if you want Overdraft Clearing Coverage to apply to your everyday debit card purchases.
We will charge you a $27 fee each time we pay an overdraft. There is a maximum of five (5) overdraft clearing fees per day.
Other ways we can cover your overdrafts
We offer Overdraft Transfer from Savings to cover your overdrafts with your consent. Please see the fee schedule for the current fee. Regulation D limits this service to six (6) electronic transfers per calendar month.
